A man rejected for an officers role due to his high IQ has just lost an appeal against his city.
The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York has concurred with the lower court’s ruling that Robert Jordan was not discriminated against when passed up for a potential officer role. The defense won after arguing that the standards leading to Jordan's dismissal were applied to every other candidate. Jordan has lost his case despite demonstrating a higher intellect.
“This kind of puts an official face on discrimination in America against people of a certain class,” Jordan stated in an interview. The 49 year old is baffled that intelligent people are shown the same disregard that should be reserved for lower class citizens. Jordan is a college graduate whose IQ equates to a score of 125. He does not plan to take any more legal action believing the courts will be too dumb to understand his claims.
